  • Some workshops take you to well-known beautiful locations and tell you to shoot. Other workshops take you to stunning locations, give you settings, and tell you to shoot. Then there are our workshops.

    • We go to unique and beautiful locations that have not been over shot.
    •. We keep a low student-to-instructor ratio
    • Our instructors shoot last (if at all)
    • Regardless of your level, our goal is to teach you how to get the best shot.

    All our workshops have scheduled classroom and post-processing times and are followed by virtual meetings to reinforce what you have learned.

    We believe there is a difference between getting you a shot and teaching you how to get one so you can repeat the process afterward.

  • YES! We are experts with all common star trackers including iOptron, Sky Watcher & Move Shoot Move.

    Our students love that we take the time to teach them how to use these to get even better Milky Way images.

    In all our Milky Way workshops we teach how to capture and process single exposure, stacked and tracked images.

  • We welcome all levels of photographers and tailor our instruction to your level

  • YES! Contact us with your needs and dates and we will put together a custom one day to two week workshop for you.

  • YES! Your partner is welcome on our workshops. On most workshops if they are not shooting with us there is no additional charge. If they are joining us for the day there will be a charge.

  • Our workshops are designed for participants age 21 and older.

  • At this time we do not allow pets at our workshops

  • We keep our groups to five participants to one instructor.

  • We add destinations all the time. Our standard workshops are

    • Erie Street Milky Way in Bisbee, AZ and the surrounding Coshise County area

    • Storm Chasing in Southern AZ, Cochise, Santa Cruz, Pima Counties and Southern New Mexico

    • Sanibel Island and surrounding area

    • New York City

    • Joshua Tree

    • Newfoundland

  • Meals are not included in our workshops unless otherwise noted.

  • Many students have asked to use their own vehicles. In most cases we allow that. We do offer transportation during the workshops.

    During Storm Chasing workshops we provide and require you to use our transportation

    We do not provide transportation to and from the workshops

  • Most of our workshops are considered Easy to Moderate. We list on each workshop how physically challenging it will be.
